Done many short, medium and long dungeons as quad-DPS over the years, but one would obviously be much safer with some support. I'll always take one to the majority of boss-fights, but I won't bat an eye-lid if I feel like going, say, Quad GR or some nonsense for a quick dungeon. I'll never say going healer-less is the best move by any stretch, just that bringing a healer isn't 'essential' like implied, at least not for a lot of content. It's really dumb to play without a health healer though.Ĭertainly at least in the light, stress healers are optional. Those two things should stop any exploitation of the current system and make Darkest Dungeon more thrilling and entertaining like we know it should be. ![]() In that game, the healer can only heal a limited number of times between camping or returning to town. Or they might consider making healers like in NES Final Fantasy. How can Darkest Dungeon 2 be improved so there isn't this loophole? They might consider implementing a Jagged Alliance 2 type healing system whereby any battlefield healing is considered "first aid" which stops the injury from doing more damage but the damaged character cannot be permanently healed until they are rested. So if you can learn how to exploit those rules then you can fully heal and un-stress your whole team at the end of every combat - and essentially win you the game. Second time this happens then reinforcements are sent in. ![]() When this happens the first time, the player gets a warning and sometimes the party gets a little stressed. If you get the enemy down to their weakest member, then you can heal/stress-heal all day provided you know the rules regarding reinforcements.įrom what I've played, the computer triggers the reinforcements or reinforcements warning on any particular round where the following has occured:ġ) There is only one enemy target at the end of the round.Ģ) During the round there have been at least two healing/move actions by your party. But the way its been implemented in Darkest Dungeon leaves much to be desired I think. These two things are absolutely essential to any group that wants to stay alive in the dungeons. ![]()
